Holmskioldia sanguinea 'Yellow' 'Chinese Hat'

This open arching shrub flowers in winter and spring. The long tube in the center of these yellow flowers is the actual flower, when this drops, the calyx remains, forming a hat shape, hence the common name. These remain on the plant for some time, adding beautiful color for a long time.
